CS2 Update Adds Cologne 2026 Stickers & New Major System

Today's CS2 update is the biggest Major Tournament update yet. Alongside the usual stickers, graffiti, and viewer passes for IEM Cologne 2026, Valve has completely overhauled how the Major shop works - introducing a token-based pricing system with dynamic demand-driven prices, price drop protection, Souvenir Trade-Ups, as well as the ability to turn any Normal Skin into a Souvenir Skin.

Major Shop Overhaul & Token System

The Major shop has been completely reworked with a new token-based system. Sticker and Autograph Capsules don't exist anymore - you can now purchase any tournament sticker directly. Sticker prices are not fixed; they fluctuate dynamically based on demand. When a sticker is popular and lots of players are buying it, its price goes up. When fewer people buy a sticker, the price goes down. Tokens are the new currency used to buy stickers and start at a minimum of 100 tokens for $0.99. Tokens are only purchased automatically when you don't already have enough in your balance.

Valve has also introduced price drop protection: if a sticker's price drops by more than 25 tokens within 24 hours of your purchase, you'll automatically receive a token refund for the full difference. Sticker purchases themselves are final, but unspent tokens bought before the Major activates can be refunded.

Convert Every Skin Into A Souvenir

Yes, that's right. You can now convert every Normal quality weapon skin into a Souvenir quality skin. Instead of selling regular Souvenir Packages, Valve now lets you convert any weapon skin from your own inventory into a Souvenir skin. You simply pick a completed match and one of the players, and your skin is returned in Souvenir quality with Gold team, autograph, and map stickers applied. Any existing stickers on the skin are removed during the conversion.

The implications here are quite large. On the one hand, skins that were previously only available in Normal and StatTrak qualities can now also exist in Souvenir quality. On the other hand, skins that were previously more expensive in Souvenir quality will now be similarly priced to their Normal quality variants.

Use Souvenir Skins In Trade-Ups

Additionally, you can now use Souvenir skins in Trade-Ups, optionally mixed with Normal quality skins. You will still receive a skin of Normal quality as a result though. The implication here is mainly that Souvenir skins that were previously worth much less than their Normal quality variants will now be priced just like their Normal variants, boosting their value.

Pick'Em Challenge & Challenge Coin

As with previous majors, purchasing a Viewer Pass gives you access to the Pick'Em challenge and a Challenge Coin that you can upgrade from Bronze all the way to Diamond. Each upgrade rewards you with 300 tokens to spend on stickers or souvenirs in the new shop.
