CS2 Update Adds Holiday 2014 Stickers
This update adds another batch of 15 community stickers, offered directly in-game rather than through a capsule. Gifts have been re-enabled for the season too, along with new holiday freeze-cam borders and the returning holiday cheer.
The rest of the update is a substantial gameplay pass. The CZ75-Auto is reined in with a magazine cut to 8 and 16 reserve rounds, slightly reduced damage and firing rate, a draw that takes nearly twice as long, and a kill reward cut to a third. The M4A1-S goes up to $3100 while the Desert Eagle drops to $700.
And Train is back, rebuilt from the ground up and added to the Operation Vanguard map group free for all players.
Holiday 2014 Stickers
As always, the stickers can be applied to any weapon you own. Browse all 15 of them below.
The Return of Train
Train has been rebuilt from the ground up to improve both its visual appearance and its competitive balance, and it is available right away in Competitive Matchmaking as part of the Operation Vanguard map group.
On the A site, the layout has been adjusted so a team can check common hiding spots methodically instead of rushing into overlapping lines of fire. The middle tunnel on the CT side is gone, and the two remaining tunnels are wider, brighter, and clearly marked for easier callouts. The Popdog train car has been removed to open up a no-manโs-land, the T sniper position is gone, and the bombsite sits further back toward the CT side.
On B, Ts can now throw grenades into the site from the safety of the back tunnels.
Rebuilding Trainโs Art
All of Trainโs textures are hand-authored, which let Valve unify the pixel density across the whole environment. That reduces how much the map changes between graphics settings, so your hardware has less influence on how it plays.
Model fidelity has been increased to improve silhouette read, which helps with distance readability and graphical consistency. The world textures are built from high-resolution, largely model-driven source content rather than photos, unifying color, value and detail - and all of it is available for community map makers to use.
