CS2 Operation Payback is Live
Since the CS2 Maps Workshop launched in February, over 1,400 maps have been uploaded. Valve wants those maps to reach a wider audience and wants the people making them to be rewarded for it, and Operation Payback is the answer - the first in an ongoing series of limited-time updates aimed at giving a financial reward to CS2โs most popular and prolific mapmakers.
Buying a pass gets you unlimited access to a Classic Casual map group featuring seven of the highest-voted Workshop maps, with uninterrupted low-ping play on official dedicated servers. You can invite your friends into your Operation Payback games even if they donโt own a pass. The pass normally costs $5.99, but it is half off at $2.99 for now.
A pass also gets you a one-of-a-kind challenge coin that is viewable wherever your avatar is shown and upgradable just by playing - start on bronze and battle your way up. Operation Payback runs from today until July 31st.
