CS2 Operation Wildfire Adds Bowie Knife & New Case
Operation Wildfire begins today, featuring unlimited free access to a collection of seven top-rated community maps, and the return of Nuke.
With an Operation Wildfire Access Pass you get an Operation Journal that tracks your stats in official competitive matches, along with an Operation Wildfire Coin that is displayable wherever your avatar is shown and upgradable by completing campaign Challenge Missions.
There are two campaigns. Grab a friend and fight through the cooperative Gemini Campaign, whose missions each have a friends leaderboard and can be replayed as often as you like. Or take on the Wildfire Campaign, a mixture of 30 Casual, Arms Race, Deathmatch, and Demolition missions that grant XP as you work toward upgrading your coin.
The Operation Wildfire Case
The Operation Wildfire Case contains 16 community-designed skins from The Wildfire Collection. As a rare drop, it also includes the brand new Bowie Knife available in 13 finishes.
The Wildfire Collection
The 16 new finishes make up The Wildfire Collection, which is exclusive to the Operation Wildfire Case. Browse all of them below.
The Operation Wildfire Access Pass
The Access Pass is what unlocks the rest of the operation. It comes with an upgradable Challenge Coin and an Operation Journal, over 50 missions across the Wildfire and cooperative Gemini campaigns - the latter made up of 23 Guardian Mode missions and 3 Co-op Strike missions - and exclusive access to the Operation Wildfire Case.
Coin holders also get their weapon drops from the operation drop list instead of the regular one, covering the Cobblestone, Cache, Overpass, Gods and Monsters, The Rising Sun, and Chop Shop collections. The pass costs $5.99 and runs through June 17th.
Blitz Missions
Throughout Operation Wildfire youโll have opportunities to take part in Blitz Missions - global events where you can earn bonus XP for performing a specific action within a window of opportunity. You must be Private Rank 3 or above to participate in Competitive Blitz Missions.
The Return of Nuke
Nuke, one of Counter-Strikeโs most iconic and enduring maps, was first released in November of 1999. Its latest evolution arrives with this update, available right away in Competitive Matchmaking and in the Operation Wildfire map group.
Community feedback through forums, videos, and email was instrumental in shaping the changes to both its gameplay and its look-and-feel.
Introducing the Bowie Knife
The rare special item in the Operation Wildfire Case is the Bowie Knife, a brand-new knife type. It derives its name and its reputation from James Bowie, a notorious knife fighter who died at the Alamo.
