CS2 Update Adds The Spectrum Case With New Knife Finishes
Today’s update introduces the Spectrum Case, featuring 17 community-designed weapon finishes. In the Spectrum Case, the rare special item is the second generation of knives in Chroma finishes.
The update also ships Canals, a brand new map set in a historic Italian city, and a visual upgrade to the Phoenix Terrorist player model.
The New Spectrum Case
We’ve got a new case - the Spectrum Case. It contains 17 community-designed weapon finishes, and as the rare special item you can get a knife from the second generation of Chroma finishes.

The New Canals Map
Two important tourist attractions are under threat by an international group of terrorists known as the Phoenix, and SEAL Team 6 has been deployed to stop them.
It is based on real-world environments that give each area its own architectural style as well as its own gameplay. The CT side is a large, wide open area, while the T-controlled territory forms a crescent of smaller spaces around it.
The two bombsites reward different tactics. Site A sits in the open and favors smoke grenades and rifle skills, while site B is in the interior where SMGs and shotguns prove most useful. The canal below site B allows a stealthy approach deep into CT-controlled area.
The Phoenix Model Upgrade
Like the recent upgrade of the SAS Counter-Terrorist model, the adjustments focus on preserving character legibility while improving overall visual fidelity.
