CS2 Update Adds Storage Units
The latest CS2 update introduces Storage Units, a new way to manage your inventory. If you've been playing for a while and have accumulated a large collection of items, you've probably run into the Steam inventory limit. Storage Units are Valve's solution to that problem.
What is a Storage Unit?
A Storage Unit is a purchasable item that acts as a secondary inventory. Each Storage Unit can hold up to 1,000 items, and you can give it a custom name to keep things organised. The Storage Unit itself appears as a single item in your Steam inventory, no matter how many items are stored inside it.
How Does it Work?
Storage Units can be purchased directly in-game. Once you own one, you can deposit items into it from your inventory and withdraw them whenever you like. Items stored inside a Storage Unit are not accessible on the Steam Community Market and cannot be traded until they are withdrawn back into your main inventory.
Storage Units themselves are also non-tradable, so they are permanently tied to your account once purchased. If you need more space, you can purchase additional Storage Units.
