The MAC-10 is a great option for eco rounds on the Terrorist side in CS2, where you can buy it even without armor, rush in, and shred enemies down with its high rate of fire. There have been some great skins released for the weapon over the years such as the Neon Rider, Stalker, and Disco Tech, but the Fade finish still stands as one of the best options for the MAC-10. Introduced all the way back in 2015 with the release of Operation Bloodhound as part of the Chop Shop Collection, the MAC-10 Fade has remained a popular choice among players and professionals alike.

Although Fade patterns seem like simple yet beautiful metallic finishes at first sight with their combinations of yellow, pink, and purple, there are varying complexities involved, each of which uniquely alters the look and value of the skin they’re on. In this guide, we will take a comprehensive look at the Fade finish on the MAC-10, and if you’re looking to get this amazing weapon now simply because of how it looks in CS2, you’ve come to the right place.

MAC-10 Fade Guide

If you’re checking out the MAC-10 Fade for a potential purchase, it’s a good idea to check out its seed pattern first to determine its Fade percentage. On most third-party marketplaces, the seed pattern is already displayed as part of the listing, but if it isn’t, you can always view it in-game. While inspecting the MAC-10 Fade, click on the info icon at the bottom of the screen to view the pattern index. We have made inspecting these seed patterns easy for you by embedding the most accurate Fade Percentage tool below:

How the Calculator works:

Seed patterns you wish to inspect can be entered in the field available in the top right side of the calculator. When a seed pattern is entered, it adjusts the slider next to it, showing the Fade percentage that corresponds with that seed, with the MAC-10 image in the center updating to reflect this percentage. This gives you the most accurate real-time representation of how the skin looks in-game, without having to inspect each one separately in the game. Alternatively, you can also adjust the slider manually to check out the full spectrum of Fade percentages and how they look on the MAC-10. At the bottom of the page is a table that shows the rank of the seed entered as well as its Fade percentage as a numerical value.

Impact Of Seed Patterns On The Value Of A MAC-10 Fade

The MAC-10 Fade comes in 1,001 different variations, with pattern seed indexes numbered from 0 to 1000. Each seed pattern carries a unique percentage of the Fade pattern, which varies between 80% at the minimum, to a maximum value of 100%. Furthermore, the ratio of the three fade colors, which are yellow, pink, and purple, also varies with the seed number. Seeds with lower Fade percentages, such as 602, 359, 649, 393, or 701, are close to the market average in terms of price, and can sometimes be found at discounted rates as well. These seed patterns have the highest amount of yellow on the MAC-10s surface, which is least valued by players. At 90% Fade levels, which are obtainable through seed patterns 704, 15, 623, or 609, all three of the Fade colors are in a somewhat equal ratio. At the maximum Fade percentage found in seed patterns 763, 575, 897, or 636, the highest amount of purple is present on the MAC-10 body. Such patterns are highly sought by the community, with 100% Fades going at around three to five times higher than the average market price.

Impact Of Float Values On A MAC-10 Fade

The MAC-10 is another gun in the Fade family with only two levels of wear, similar to the UMP-45 Fade, Glock Fade, and AWP Fade. These wear levels are Factory New, with its complete range of float values from 0.00 to 0.07, and Minimal Wear, with only a fraction of its float values, from 0.07 to 0.08. The vast majority of dropped MAC-10 Fades are consequently in the Factory New condition. Higher float values on most weapons tend to inflict varying levels of scratches and abrasions on the skin surface, resulting in the paint becoming damaged, and their monetary value being negatively affected as well. However, float values seem to have no effect on the surface of the MAC-10 Fade even at the maximum float value of 0.08, and therefore don’t have much influence on the skin’s value.

Obtaining A MAC-10 Fade

The only two ways you can obtain the MAC-10 Fade these days are either through trading or buying it from any one of the various marketplaces. Although trading may still be viable under certain circumstances, we recommend buying it directly from third-party marketplaces to avoid potential scamming attempts and save time.

Also, these marketplaces tend to offer better pricing in comparison to the Steam Community Marketplace, where prices may tend to be slightly higher. So, if you are seriously considering a purchase of the MAC-10 Fade, we have all listings available on the most reputed third-party marketplaces which you can check out below:
