The BLAST Premier circuit is one of the most important and prestigious competitions in Counter-Strike 2. It includes various events throughout the year, but the biggest one is the BLAST Paris Major. The Major will take place in Paris, France, from May 8th to May 14th, 2023.

Paris 2023 Stickers As An Investment

One of the most anticipated parts of any Major are the in-game stickers. For years, tournament stickers have been a favorite investment choice for CS2 players, and many fans buy thousands of sticker capsules hoping to make a profit in the future. Stickers from tournaments like the Berlin 2019 Major and the Stockholm 2021 Major have turned out to be excellent investments, with their values increasing steadily over time.

However, not all Major stickers turn out to be great investments. In fact, recent capsules like the RMR 2020 stickers and the Antwerp 2022 stickers were considered “failed” investments due to their price gradually decreasing below the discounted price due to the supply far exceeding the demand. However, with the recent announcement of Counter-Strike 2 the demand for the stickers and capsules hit an all time high and their price quickly increased. The Counter-Strike 2 hype has also helped Rio 2022 stickers to become an amazing investment with the capsule prices increasing 200% in just a month.

Aside from purchasing these stickers as investments, a good portion of the player base also chooses to buy tournament stickers simply to decorate their weapon skins and to support their favorite pro players. During a Major, fifty percent of the proceeds from sticker sales go directly to the players and organizations participating in the tournament.

Sticker Capsules To Be Released

As with previous Majors, the Paris Major 2023 is expected to bring three team sticker capsules (Legends, Contenders, and Challengers) to the game alongside a few Autograph capsules. There will likely also be a “Champions Autograph Capsule” that will be released once the tournament reaches its conclusion and the winners are decided. The team sticker capsules are typically the most sought-after among all the capsules that release during a Major.

Looking At Data From Previous Majors

With less than a month remaining before the highly anticipated Paris Major 2023 kicks off, the entire CS2 community is eager to know about the release date of the stickers for the upcoming tournament. At first glance, we can notice that on average that stickers are usually released 9.29 days prior to the start of a major, with the median delay between the sticker capsule releases and the start of tournaments being 9 days. We can also see that so far, the tournament sticker capsules have been strictly released on weekdays, and never on weekends.

This information obtained from simply taking a look at previous Major tournaments can help us get an idea about the release of the upcoming Paris 2023 Major stickers.

Paris Major 2023: Sticker Release Speculation

To answer this question, we can look at past CS2 majors and see when their stickers were released. According to our analysis, the average time of sticker release is 9 days before the start of the major. Since the Paris Major starts on May 8th, 2023, we can expect the stickers to be released on May 1st, which is 8 days before the event’s start date.

However, it’s important to note that weekends can sometimes impact sticker release dates. For instance, if the 9th day before the major is on a weekend, the stickers may be released a few days earlier. In this case, the 29th and 30th of April are on the weekend, so there’s a possibility that the stickers may be released on April 27th or 28th instead.

Of course, these dates are purely speculative, and Valve has not yet confirmed an official release date for the stickers. It’s also possible that the release date could be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as technical issues or production delays.

When Should You Buy Paris 2023 Stickers?

It is highly probable that the Paris Major 2023 stickers will be available on the dates mentioned above, but it may not be wise to purchase them immediately upon release. It is advisable to wait for several weeks before getting your hands on them. This is because CS2 tournament stickers usually go on sale for a significant discount for a few weeks before they are taken off the market. The discount is typically fixed at 75%, which means you can purchase the tournament stickers for just a quarter of their original price.

Once the Paris Major 2023 stickers are out, enthusiasts can preview them on our website, where they can also find information on their prices, variants, and more. While waiting for the Paris capsules to drop, you can check out a list of all the stickers currently available in CS2 by clicking here.
