CS2 Update Adds The First Actual CS2 Skins
The latest CS2 update introduces the Kilowatt Case containing 17 new weapon skins designed by community members. As a rare special item, you can get the new Kukri Knife in 13 different finishes.
The case can drop randomly when playing the game. After the 7-day trade hold, it can be traded with other players and also be sold on the Steam Community Market. As usual with weapon cases, you need a Kilowatt Case Key in order to open the case. The key can only be bought in-game and costs $2.49.
But that’s not all! Valve also released the Ambush Sticker Capsule containing 21 new stickers which have also been designed by community members. And to top it off, we also got the new NIGHTMODE Music Kit Box containing 6 different music kits.
On top of that, we also get the first Zeus Skin in the history of Counter-Strike.
Let’s take a closer look at all the new items…
The Kilowatt Case Skins
The Kilowatt Case contains 17 community-designed skins. These are among the first skins created specifically for CS2, rather than carried over from CS:GO. Browse all of them below.
The Kilowatt Case Knives
As a rare drop, you can also get one of 13 Kukri Knife finishes from the Kilowatt Case. The Kukri Knife is a brand new knife type introduced with this update.
The Ambush Stickers
Additionally, we also have 21 new stickers which were also designed by community members.
The NIGHTMODE Music Kits
Next, we have a new music kit box named “NIGHTMODE”. It contains six new music kits.
The First Zeus Skin
And finally, we have the first Zeus skin in Counter-Strike history!
Sticker Placement Improvements
This update also brings significant improvements to sticker customization. All weapons now support up to five stickers (previously four). Stickers can be placed at freely chosen positions and rotations when applied, and a new zoom feature enables higher precision during placement.
