History

The Ursus Knife "Blue Steel" was first introduced to Counter-Strike 8 years ago, on August 1st, 2018. It was released as part of the Horizon Case, alongside the "Horizon Case Skins" update. The skin was created by Valve itself instead of a community designer.

Origin

The Ursus Knife "Blue Steel" can be obtained by opening the Horizon Case or Danger Zone Case. The skin is not part of any collections.

Popularity

With a popularity of 93%, the Ursus Knife "Blue Steel" is currently extremely popular, which makes it one of the most popular items in CS2. This popularity score is based on recent user engagement and market activity for the skin.

Rarity

The Ursus Knife "Blue Steel" is one of 604 Knife skins. The rarity of the skin is Covert, which makes it an ultra rare drop with a chance of 0.0049% from the Horizon Case. That is roughly 1 in every 20.3K drops.

Availability

With a price range between $70.12 and $450, the Ursus Knife "Blue Steel" is a rather affordable skin. Fortunately, it's currently widely available and can be purchased on multiple different markets.

Versions

The float value of the Ursus Knife "Blue Steel" ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes the skin available in all exteriors. For each exterior, there also exists a StatTrak version of this skin.

Finish Style

This Ursus Knife skin has been painted in the "Patina" style, with the Blue Steel finish. A patina is a chemical reaction that forms a non-reactive, hardened shell over metallic parts. Real-life weapon patinas include case hardening, cold bluing, and acid forced patinas. This particular skin has been mostly painted in shades of gray. The look of the Blue Steel finish is affected by its pattern index. The skin uses the new CS2 model.
