Description

A strong open-area LMG, the M249 is the perfect choice for players willing to trade a slow fire rate for increased accuracy and a high ammo capacity. It has been spray-painted with black palm fronds over a gray and purple camo. "The sign says closed!"

History

The M249 "Midnight Palm" was first introduced to Counter-Strike 5 years ago, on September 21st, 2021. It was released as part of the Dust 2 2021 Collection, alongside the "Operation Riptide" update. The skin was created by Valve itself instead of a community designer.

Origin

The M249 "Midnight Palm" can be obtained from 6 different containers. This includes the Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package, Antwerp 2022 Dust II Souvenir Package and Rio 2022 Dust II Souvenir Package. The skin is also part of the Dust 2 2021 Collection.

Popularity

With a popularity of 87%, the M249 "Midnight Palm" is currently in the top 13% of the most popular items in CS2. This popularity score is based on recent user engagement and market activity for the skin.
