Relatively unchanged in its design since World War II, the bayonet still retains a place in modern military strategy. Bayonet charges have continued to be effective as recently as the second Gulf War and the war in Afghanistan. It has been custom painted with knotwork.

The Bayonet "Lore" was first introduced to Counter-Strike 10 years ago, on June 15th, 2016. It was released as part of the Gamma Case, alongside the "Gamma Case Skins" update. The skin was created by Valve itself instead of a community designer.
